Cheap & huge unit with the garden as well as double bed. Location so close to Queenstown where many hikers stopover, centre of town and the railway station for the Wilderness train.

We were impressed with the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. The restaurant was not open so we were furnished with a map of the town with local places.

I liked the hydrangas growing in the garden outside the window and the silent heater that provided good heat in non direct way and the fridge that was not very loud.
The bed I slept in was pretty soft.

It is close to the shops, and the laundry was good, the room was adequate.
Prices were on the high side for what we received.,

The room was very clean and warm. Despite the negatives, this is the standard considered acceptable in this mining town and we were happy to stay there. The tourists usually go to Strahan to stay. I would suggest tourists go to Penghana b&b as this is better value.
The tv was old and there was no Austar, there was no stereo or dvd player, you need to pay for internet and there was no mini bar. Breakfast was toast or cereal.

The evening buffet meal in the hotel restaurant was very enjoyable and of a very high standard.
The hotel itself was excellent in every way, but there is nothing in Queenstown to see!
